Perfectionism

You colour me with your inner eyes. "Stop being a perfectionist," you say. No, I'm just trying to do my very best before coming to you so I don't waste your precious time. Afterall I would never want you to waste mine.

Defensive

You accuse me of being defensive. "There is no need to be so defensive about the decisions you have made." No, I'm just trying to explain so we don't walk away with misunderstandings. How else will I ever know whether you have truly grasped the concept I conveyed?

Secretive

You paint me as someone with a bag full of secrets held closely to my chest, a walking Fort Knox.

"You are very secretive," you say. No, I am merely reserved, preferring to observe and contemplate beforehand inviting you in. Those three words you say and I know you don't understand me.
