Purr to Roar

I tapped my chest once

I tapped my chest twice

I tapped my chest several times

First with a finger, then an open palm, finally with a fist

And slowly my inner lion began to purr

Quietly at first, it started as a hum

Then what began as a silent grumble became a loud, passionate roar.
