One gem at a time

I had no control over the circumstances in which I had been born but I came to realise I could impact the path that laid ahead. And so I became determined to look ahead, pushing forward to seek what gems I could discover to build slowly but surely the rungs of my ladder. And so began a painstaking yet rewarding journey that still continues present day. Each time I found another gem, sometimes discarded by others, I set out to smooth it over, sometimes requiring to chisel it, even gluing it together with other fragmented yet beautiful pieces I had found along the way. Peer ahead, using the humility of my circumstances as a driving force, a solid foundation for forging ahead.
