I choose simplicity, shaking off unnecessary baggage;
I choose to embrace my greatness, and not shrink from the great purpose for which I was created;
I choose to accept the challenge of change and newness, fiercely facing the unknown and uncertainty with valour;
I choose the small things that allow me to enjoy life at its greatest, lavishing attention on those who matter and those things that bear positive fruit;
I choose to cry, releasing the toxins and the grip of fear that try to force me to bury my head in the slippery, cold life-sucking sand;
I choose to love, chancing to open my heart, knowing full well I might get it back a bit tattered and torn;
I choose to trust, even when it works against the walls within which I have barricaded myself in fear of letting anyone else in;
I choose the light over the darkness that tries to seize my soul, crushing me, weighing me down;
I choose to laugh, even when the tears flow freely inside, a heavy flowing current;
I choose to forgive, to forget and to be gentle with this precious gift of today, a new life, a new script;
I choose to let neither person nor circumstances take away my joy;
I choose me...
